Biography
Seth Waxman leads Mitchell Sandler’s government investigations and white collar criminal defense practice group.
Seth represents financial institutions, financial service providers, mortgage lenders, health care companies, public officials and all other manner of businesses and individuals facing government investigations, criminal and civil actions, and regulatory enforcement.
Seth is a nationally recognized former federal prosecutor with 30 years’ experience, 13 years of which were spent working as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, where he focused on fraud and public corruption cases and was lead counsel in more than 60 jury trials, 90 bench trials, and 15 matters on appeal.
Seth is renowned as a thought leader when it comes to conducting internal investigations for companies facing allegations of fraud and other corporate wrongdoing. Seth’s national reputation in this area has led Judges to appoint him as a Receiver to oversee and conduct court-ordered investigations into complex financial wrongdoing.
